M.U.P. Depot Preservation Society Heat & A/C System

Specific Need

2025 was very exciting for the Historic Depot. With finished blueprints in hand we set about the task of initiating the work of rebuilding the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing infrastructure.  Our progress includes upgrading the water distribution system and removing many of the abandonded piping and electrical systems which were not functional. Further we started installing an electrical distribution in the Depot connected to our new electrical service supply. This sets the stage for purcahsing and setting the 9 zoned HVAC systems to make the Depot a 4-Season event center.

Progress is very motivational but our resources are limited and the larger ticket items are still in front of us. With such a beautiful and attractive historic depot, we are excited to finally deliver a very functional facility that can be occupied all 12 months of the year compared to our current 4-to-5-month availability. We need your generous contribution to get these systems installed.
 

Mission

It is the vision of the Marysville Union Pacific Depot Preservation Society to make the Historic Depot a self-sustaining, primary attraction in and around Marysville, offering event space, educational programs, and social events, in a historically significant architectural setting, benefiting our local / regional communities with added economic benefit, community engagement and improvement in their quality of life.

Profile

You know we have been a growing source of excitement in the community with our events, our involvement in, and the completion of successful projects at the Depot. Our Board of Directors is functioning very well while always working on continuous improvement. The talent that we have on the Board allows us to be very analytical, both financially and in the prioritization of projects. These elements coupled with our operating organization, which is strictly voluntary, provide the most efficient and highest impact results for your donation. Additionally, the reinvented and aggressive area promotion by One Marysville is creating many beneficial potentials for the community and our Historic Union Pacific Depot needs to be both a major attraction and a catering facility for the variety of the events being created.
