USD 364 Foundation

Specific Need

The Foundation will consider needs as funding becomes available. Examples of potential areas to be addressed include:

TYPES OF PROJECTS:

• Curriculum enhancement - purchase of equipment, including new technology, and purchase of curriculum support materials, such as software and databases.
• Teacher opportunities - inservice training, guest speakers, cash awards, opportunities to attend business seminars, and travel to view other districts' programs.
• Grants to students - student leadership workshops or scholarships.
• Interaction workshops for parents and teachers.
• Assistance for extracurricular activities - plays, band trips, science fairs, concerts, etc.
• Programs to address development of thinking skills in students.

Mission

Profile

The USD 364 Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation established to provide private support for the educational programs of students in USD 364.

The Foundation is independent of the school district, yet works closely with the public schools. Acting as a broker between the private sector and public education, the Foundation seeks to develop a long term financial resource base using the interest from the base to meet the stated purposes.

1) To establish a monetary fund to be used for educational projects or grants throughout the USD 364 public school system.

2) To provide Financial benefits to individual students worthy of scholarship assistance.

3) To create initiatives supporting imaginative and creative teachers or other school system personnel.

4) To develop and nourish school improvement projects

5) To provide financial support as a supplement to teaching resources available to the teaching staff of the school district.
