Specific Need

Recently we have been able to complete a number of improvements to the church, hall, and grounds at St. Malachy’s Parish. We have plans to continue to work on the entry way of the church and projects for the grounds. We look forward to continuing our work to offer beautiful places to pray, to worship, and to gather together. With your help, we could secure up to $3,000.00 in matching funds during this years Pony Up Marysville Match Day! You are a great support for our community of faith.

Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church for your private prayer and reflection. Our mission is to be the “now” Christ in the world, through worship, teaching and serving. We show God’s love and concern for others at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. We believe it is not only important to receive the Lord’s blessing but to make them available to all that we meet.

St. Malachy Catholic Church in Beattie, Kansas was established in 1879, when Mass was celebrated in private homes or an old stone schoolhouse before the first church was built in 1880. A new church was built right next to the original one in 1924, and the original one was converted into a social center. The current church has undergone several remodeling projects over the years.
