St. Gregory's Church Building

Specific Need

Through the hard work of the building committee and the generosity of parishioners, as well as community members, we were able to build a new church and parish hall.  Your donation today will go to the cost of building the new church for St. Gregory's.  With your help, we could secure up to $3,000 in matching funds during Pony Up Match Day!  When you make a gift to the St. Gregory Building Fund, you ensure that we are able to do God's work and make a difference in the lives of many parishioners and fellow community members for generations to come.  Your continued support of the building campaign allowed us to open our new church on May 26, 2018.  

Mission

We believe that the door to salvation is always open and so are the doors to our church for your private prayer and reflection.  Our mission is to be the “now” Christ in the world, through worship, teaching and serving.  We show God’s love and concern for others at every opportunity.  Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.  We believe it is not only important to receive the Lord’s blessing but to make them available to all that we meet.

Profile

The Church of St. Gregory the Great opened in 1862 in Marysville, and a school was opened in 1881.  After several changes in location, we settled at our current location in 1895.  That church was replaced in 1975.  42 years later we were faced with a decision to remodel the current church or build a new one, and a decision was made to build a new church and parish hall.  They were built with the desire to keep St. Gregory's a wonderful and comfortable place to worship.
