Specific Need
This Pony Up Marysville Match Day, Pawnee Mental Health is asking for your support to help children and adults find healing through the power of art. Every day, we see how creativity opens doors that words alone cannot—helping people express feelings, process pain, and discover hope. Art in therapy bridges the gap between feeling and meaning, giving children and adults a safe, nonverbal way to explore emotions that may be too complex or overwhelming to put into words.
For children in therapy, art becomes a voice, helping them share feelings they may not yet have the words to explain. It allows them to process big emotions in ways that feel natural, playful, and empowering. For adults, creative expression can transform trauma, stress, or anxiety into understanding, perspective, and growth. These programs provide opportunities for healing that are innovative, meaningful, and life-changing.
Your support ensures that Pawnee can continue offering these art-focused programs to those who need them most—helping individuals turn silent struggles into visible healing and giving families hope for brighter, healthier futures. Together, we can open the door to new possibilities, helping more people in our community find their voice, their strength, and their path to recovery.

Profile
A New Day at Pawnee is about removing barriers, expanding access, and creating new possibilities for mental health care. For 70 years, Pawnee has been a lifeline in North Central Kansas, showing up for individuals and families when they need support most. Today, A New Day reflects our commitment to make care easier to access, faster to begin, and more responsive to real-life needs.
This means meeting people where they are—whether that’s through Mobile Crisis Services, now available 24/7 in all 10 counties, or Same Day Access, which reduces intake times from months to hours so individuals can start care quickly. It means expanding rural access through partnerships with local health departments, providing therapy and medical services where offices are not open five days a week. It means supporting recovery with Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid addiction and helping individuals achieve their goals through Individual Placement & Support (IPS) services for employment and education. And it means ensuring care is never out of reach with financial support programs that reduce fees, set up manageable payment plans, or forgive balances when circumstances change.
In 2025 alone, Pawnee connected with nearly 3,000 community members through outreach, trainings, and events, helping more people get the care they need, when they need it. A New Day at Pawnee builds on our 70-year legacy while looking ahead to a future where mental health support is easier to reach, faster to access, and available for everyone. 70 years of care. A new day ahead.
