Marshall County Habitat for Humanity

Specific Need

Habitat is still committed to building affordable homes for people in Marshall County. Consequently, we are needing additional funding since the price of lumber and other building supplies have taken a drastic increase.

The need for the type of modest sized home (900-1400 square feet) is an acute need in our community, especially for working families with children.

It cost us approzimately $150,000+ to construct a home at current material costs. Any assistance will be used only for building, as we are a volunteer organization, so funding is not used for administrative cost.

Mission

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Marshall County Habitat for Humanity

Marshall County Habitat for Humanity is committed to assisting families and individuals in Marshall County by providing access to quality, affordable housing.

Habitat is finishing up on a new home for a local Frankfort family.

In the past 10 years, 29 school aged children have benefitted from new homes or substantially improved living arrangements.

In addition to quality, affordable housing, Habitat helps families acquire financial and life skills necessary for home ownership, as well as providing access to other resources needed for a stable home.

Currently, Habitat relies on client loan repayments to begin new home builds or renovations.  Also the Habitat Thrift Shop provides many families with needed clothes and household items as well as supporting new projects with profits from the shop.  In addition Marshall County Habitat accepts donations and requests for new projects.

The need for quality and affordable housing continues to grow.

We are appealing to you to support our mission in Marshall County by donating directly to Habitat or supporting us on the Pony Up Marysville Community Support Day on May 1, 2026.

All donated funds are used to support families, as the local affiliate is a volunteer organization and no money is used for staffing purposes.

Thank you for your support. A Marshall County family will have a more secure, safe and stable future with your help.
