Specific Need

The Community Band will use the donated funds to purchase needed equipment, music and supplies to continue providing great musical entertainment to the citizens of Marshall County. For the 2026 summer concert series,  we will be performing music that celebrates the history and traditions of the United States as part of the 250th anniversary of our nation's birth. We are also continuing to pursue getting a commissioned piece composed for the band.

Profile

The Marshall County Community Band has been performing in and around Marysville and Marshall County, Kansas since the summer of 2004. The band provides musical performance opportunities for musicians of all ages to continue playing the instruments and music they love. We support and promote that music is a lifetime skill to be continued throughout a musician's lifetime. The Community Band also encourages music education in the schools, providing opportunities for young music students to gain experience and musical enrichment playing alongside older, more experienced musicians. We enjoy sharing our musical skill and abilities with the citizens of Marshall County, and strive to perform a variety of music that can be enjoyed by the whole family. From junior high to senior citizens, this band is for you!
