HOW YOU CAN HELP TODAY
Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) prides itself on staying current with the latest medical technologies and equipment, allowing patients to receive high quality care in their own back yard. The cost to do so is great, and we rely on the generosity of our donors to help make this possible.
CMH also takes great pride in our staff. From licensed medical professionals who treat and care for our patients, to office and environmental staff who manage day-to-day operations for the facility, our team is comprised of compassionate, caring individuals who each add value to the collective whole.
It is vital for the hospital to remain a leader amongst our competitors and provide patients with treatments utilizing the latest technologies right here at home. We are able to achieve this through hard work, dedication to our patients, and assistance from our donors. Community Memorial Healthcare Foundation (CMH Foundation) works with department directors and administration to fund identified needs within the hospital. These are generally pieces of medical equipment used by staff to care for patients.
Donations made to CMH Foundation through the Pony Up Marysville Match Day on May 1, 2026, will be designated towards medical equipment needs and recruitment nursing scholarships. We invite you to partner with us during this event and see the impact your gift can make to support rural healthcare.
Nursing Scholarships
In 2024, the CMH Foundation Board of Trustees approved to fund two Registered Nursing scholarships in an effort to assist Community Memorial Healthcare in the recruitment and retention of Registered Nurse (RN) staff. The foundation is offering up to $10K for LPN-ADN bridge programs and Up to $20K for ADN programs. Each require a 3-year employment commitment at Community Memorial Healthcare after the educational program is completed and licensure is obtained. Like many healthcare facilities across Kansas and the nation as a whole, CMH has experienced a shortage of permanent staff, especially in the nursing field, and have had to resolve to filling openings with traveling staff. Not only is this not a cost-effective option, it poses undue burden on permanent staff who must constantly train new travelers as they come in. CMH Foundation will use donations to this fund to help supplement these programs.
CMH Foundation awarded its first nursing scholarship in Fall 2025.

OUR COMMITMENT TO HEALTHCARE
Healthcare is a rapidly advancing field, requiring staff and physicians to constantly hone their skills, and facilities to be equipped with modern technology and offer a vast array of services, all while operating as efficiently as possible. The foundation relies on the generosity of our donors to help fill the monetary gap and allow CMH to continue providing services locally, utilizing up-to-date medical technology at the level of quality our patients have come to expect. We are proud to support CMH staff, working across all departments of the hospital, providing quality care and compassion right here at home.
