Bringing Back Marysville’s Christmas Critters
Since 1983, Marysville’s beloved Christmas Critters have been a cherished part of our holiday tradition, displayed each season in the gazebo near the Koester House. In the mid-2000s, the display was carefully stored away—and for many years, it remained unseen.
Last year, a small group of community members brought the Critters back to life, displaying them once again and reminding everyone just how special this tradition is.
Now, we’re working to restore both the display and its original home—the CJ “Wassy” Wassenberg Memorial Gazebo. Funds raised through Pony Up will support revitalizing the gazebo structure and restoring the Christmas Critters themselves, ensuring they can be safely displayed for years to come.
With your help, we can bring this meaningful tradition back to its rightful place for the 2026 holiday season—honoring the past while creating new memories for future generations.
